Project: House In The Trees
Nestled in a redwood forest, you will find our House In The Trees project. Walking in you truly feel as if you’re living amongst the trees as they envelope you inside this four-story A-frame Marin County home.
My clients were looking to refresh their home with new furnishings, a Kitchen and Bar remodel, and new finishes and fixtures throughout. Their goal was a stylish, collected home that was also still comfortable. Their home had to function around daily family needs, but still lend itself to entertaining and game nights.
Given the architecture of the home and its natural surroundings, it was important to me to play with the ever changing light that filtered in by creating seating nooks to be enjoyed at different points of the day. In designing with the color palette and textures used, I intended to create a nod to the forest surroundings.
