House In The Trees: Using Tile As Your Fireplace Surround

Using your fireplace to create a focal point is a great way to add interest to your space and make it totally unique to you. At our House In The Trees project our clients wanted to rework their Living Room fireplace while keeping its existing footprint. Picking up on the redwood forest surrounding the home, we selected a beautiful green tile that spoke to this. We added new knobs and painted the built-in cabinets that neighbor the fireplace to match the walls, allowing the fireplace itself to really stand out. Lastly, we added art above the fireplace and a sculptural decor piece within the fire box since the fireplace was not often in use.

I think you’ll enjoy these before and after photos!
