Destination Dreaming: Lake Como

There’s nothing better than summer vacations in Italy - living la dolce vita over long lunches, time spent along the water’s edge, and aperitivo. I love how each region has its own distinctive characteristics from the food to the ceramics. In the northern region you will find towering mountains surrounding beautiful lakes. The lake region has so much to offer and is a fun place to hop around and enjoy the many different lakeside villages. Lake Como is our favorite destination here and somewhere that feels like a second home. Last summer we spent our honeymoon there and I can’t help but reminisce as the summer season is back.

Having grown up with an Italian background on my Mom’s side and living next store to my Italian grandparents, I have always had a soft spot for Italian culture. There’s something to be said about taking the time to enjoy your day, pause for home cooked meals, and having different generations gather together. After all, life is meant to enjoy with the ones you love!
